Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how uyou ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Shaswat Solutions LLC (1316 Sundrop Dr, Little Elm, TX 75068), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our websites, dashboard, and services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and, if you provide it, your name. Authentication is handled by Amazon Cognito.
- Content you create — the destination URLs, short links, QR codes, titles, and settings you add.
- Usage and analytics data — when someone clicks a link or scans a QR code, we record events such as timestamp, approximate location (derived from IP), device and browser type, and referring source, so we can show you analytics. We do not use this to identify individual visitors to your links.
- Billing information — subscriptions are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your payment details directly; we do not receive or store your full card number. We receive limited billing status (such as your plan, subscription status, and billing country) to manage your account.
- Technical data — IP address, cookies, and similar identifiers needed to operate and secure the Service.
2. How we use your information
- to provide, maintain, and improve the Service and your analytics;
- to create and manage your account and process your subscription;
- to communicate with you about your account, security, and service updates;
- to detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, and security issues; and
- to comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal bases
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process your information to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), for our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service), to comply with legal obligations, and with your consent where required (for example, certain cookies).
4. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service, including:
- Paddle — payment processing and Merchant-of-Record billing;
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting, data storage, and authentication (Amazon Cognito);
- other providers strictly as needed to operate the Service, or where required by law.
These providers process your information on our behalf and are bound to protect it.
5. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers.
6. Data retention
We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. Click and scan analytics are retained according to your plan's data-retention window. We may retain certain information longer where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
7. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Service, and understand usage. Paddle may also set cookies during checkout. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Service works.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of the EEA/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA), among others, have these or similar rights. To exercise them, contact us using the details below. You may also update your profile or delete content directly in the dashboard.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
12. Contact
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, reach us through our contact page or at support@uyou.in.
